I have worked with my current company for 4 years and according to my annual evaluations my performance has been very good. About 2 months ago I interviewed for a promotion at my company and didn’t get it. I didn’t say anything to my boss at time, but it still bothers me as to why I didn’t get the job. It seems that the position was a perfect fit for me, and my experience would have been on point. I am ok with my co-worker who got the promotion, but it seems that my experience made me a better choice. Since it has been over 2 months since my interview, I am hesitant to talk to my boss about it now.

Well, in my opinion you should ask about the promotion. If it is still on your mind and you were the best candidate maybe there was another reason you didn’t get it. I would approach it carefully, maybe you can ask for advice to help you when the next promotion comes up.
