I have a professional job and I’m tired of covering for my coworker. My coworker and I work together to manage over 100 customer accounts but the problem is he calls in at least twice a week and my boss always ask me to cover for him so we can get the work done. My boss is very nice and I think my coworkers takes advantage of his kindness. When my coworker calls in and I have to cover for him I end up working through lunch and staying at least one hour late. I thought about discussing how I feel with my boss but he is such a nice guy I hate to sound like a complainer. Maybe I should discuss it with my coworker instead and let him know how it affects me when he calls in. I spoke to one of my other coworkers about it and she say there may be more to it than I know.
