I have been unemployed and looking for a job for several months. I have basically focused on attending job fairs because I thought that would be the best way to get hired since a friend told me that many employers hire on the spot at the events. So far I have attended six events and scheduled to attend a few more but at this point I have not received an interview or any response. I am wondering whether it’s worth it to continue attending the events. My question is whether employers actually hire people at the events, I’m not sure. It seems logical to me that they do because if not, there would be no reason for an employer to spend money to setup at an event. Do you know anyone who found a job as a result of attending a job fair and how many did they attend before finding their job?
